What we do with the information

When you register and when you purchase cards, we collect personal information about you. This information becomes your “permanent” identity with us. Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you, the user, with an efficient and customized experience on our website.

Viking Printing will not share, sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal information to third party suppliers who provide services on our behalf. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or if it believes that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of Viking Printing and its Web Sites, visitors to the Web Sites and customers of our Services.

Our Web Site may contain links to the sites of third parties. When you visit these sites, we suggest that you read their privacy policies. Viking Printing is not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of such sites.

We will only sell or rent your personal information to a third party either as part of a sale of the assets of Viking Printing or having ensured that steps have been taken to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

What are “Cookies” and how are they used?

Viking Printing collects information through the use of cookies. Cookies are small pieces of data, or data files, which are sent by a web site to your web browser and are stored on your computer. They are used to keep track of your mailing campaign steps and to recover data should your system crash or lose power, they are also used to understand general traffic patterns on www.vikingprinting.com. The information stored in the cookie is only used for statistical tracking purposes and not for individual identification. In no way does Viking Printing relate personal information to these traffic pattern statistics. We may use this aggregate data to provide feedback to our web designers, content providers or business managers to assist them in improving our web site and services offered.

Postcard Images and Text

Except for postcards created using the Viking Printing stock images or design services, we are not involved in any way in the design, graphics, content, images or text incorporated in a postcard. For legal, privacy and practical reasons Viking Printing does not and cannot routinely review or attempt to control the content of customer created postcards.

The content of each postcard will be recorded in a database by Viking Printing until the postcard is printed and delivered to the U.S. Postal Service. After mailing, the data may be maintained on file for the convenience of the customer for a period of time before being deleted. Billing and accounting records of transactions will be maintained, but on a confidential basis.

Your Mailing Lists

The information that a Viking Printing user enters into his/her address book or uploads as a prospect or customer database is considered strictly confidential and will not be accessed by Viking Printing or any of its associates or affiliates. The only exception to this policy is when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services.

Security Policy

Viking Printing places great importance on the security of all information associated with our customers. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of customer data under our control. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized personnel have access to user information. With regard to our Web Site we use secure server software (SSL) to encrypt financial information you input before it is sent to us. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this.
